A ski lodge in the Oetztal Valley
The Oetztal Alps are home to 600 mountain peaks, of which half lie at more than 3,000m altitude. This impressive mountain world is put to optimal use as an extensive ski resort. The Oetztal has therefore become one of the most popular ski destinations in Austria.
The Sonnblick is located at the heart of the Hochsoelden ski resort and impresses guests with its flair and excellent cuisine. Take a break from skiing or snowboarding here, stretch out your legs and enjoy a mulled wine on the large sun terrace.
Summer
Enjoy the first rays of spring sunshine in a recliner outside. The petting zoo is home to some local animals and is a real highlight for our younger guests. These tame four legged friends look forward to being stroked at the zoo – and of course to their little snacks! The Sonnblick play area attracts children with its swings, water games, sandpit and 20 m tunnel slide. While you enjoy the sunshine on the terrace, your little ones can let off some steam in the kids’ areas. There’s something for everyone here!
Easily accessible
The Sonnblick can be accessed in winter via a short descent directly from the Giggijoch. From Hochsoelden, pedestrians can use the tunnel which is opened in winter. Up to 200 guests can enjoy this traditional hut atmosphere in addition to the recliners on the sun terrace. The hut is also very popular in spring thanks to its sunny location – temperatures are very pleasant then and you can even enjoy a doze in the midday sun on the terrace, in a T-shirt!
